For the past 20 years, Chef Praveen Prasannan has been cooking creative and delicious Indian dishes across India’s well-known 5-star hotels, on Celebrity Cruises, and in Texas. He is very creative with cooking with spices, pays attention to details, and is a great multi-tasker.
He was born in India, and from a young age had a love for Indian cuisine and wanted to take it around the world. Praveen learned the culinary arts at Consult Inn Institute of Hotel Management. He started his professional journey with the Taj Hotels, and later on he was able to join the elite Oberoi Hotel Group. Chef Praveen honed his skills further on tour at sea when he joined Carnival Cruise and Royal Caribbean Cruise. His food was not only enjoyed by Indians but lauded by people the world over. Praveen finally became an Executive Chef in Indian restaurants in Dallas, where people across the city come to eat his dishes. He and his partners have made millions while increasing the expectations of guests all around the DFW area. People have voted him the best Indian Chef in Dallas multiple years in a row. Later on, he decided to open his own Indian Restaurant in Dallas, Texas. “Shiva’s Bar & Grill”. Which is now serving delicious authentic Indian Cuisine. Shiva’s received an exceptional review on Google & Yelp for the quality of the ingredient, fresh taste, and warm inviting hospitality staying true to Indian Culture. Chef Praveen has introduced fresh Indian dishes which are becoming favourites in Dallas.
